Wolf started the Cretan Matter Waves with the help of a Marie-Curie Excellence Grant
(5/2006 - 4/2010)
Wolf founded the Cretan Matter Waves group in 2005.
From 1996-1999 Wolf worked in the Cavity Quantum Electro Dynamics Group of Serge Haroche at the Laboratoire Kastler Brossel (LKB) of the Ecole Normale Superieure (ENS) in Paris. Here, he worked on silika microspheres as ultra-high Q resonators.
Wolf did a PhD on Ultra-High Resolution CO2 Laser Spectroscopy and Transient Line Narrowing at the Cavendish Laboratory of the University of Cambridge (UK) in the group of Bob Butcher. During this time he was a member of Wolfson College.
